Community Service and Projects
- Volunteer at Moving Arts-summer 2023
- Work with Compassion through Action to prepare sack lunches for homeless in Española. So far I have made 185 lunches.
- Espanola Animal Shelter - donated food and toys.
- Youth Leadership Group-Helped establish the first Seed Library in Espanola (Article in Rio Grande Sun). Presented at the Seed Library Launch. Attended a seminar about the importance of seeds with presenters from Guatemala and Wisconsin. Harvested seeds from the Healing Foods Oasis Garden. Planted trees at Valdez community park
- Donate Christmas gifts for children and women at the Northern New Mexico Crisis Center and the LANL giving tree

I was selected to participate in the The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) NM Career STREAM is a paid summer apprenticeship where high school students work with college mentors to solve problems in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).

Research question: How can we design a hydroponic vertical farming system to supplement the dietary needs of those living in food deserts in order to improve their overall quality of life?
